Whistleblowing
The whistleblowing channel allows you to report breaches or suspected breaches of any internal policies, Code of Conduct or laws and regulations. The channel is intended to assist individuals who believe they have discovered malpractice or impropriety.
The parties protected under the whistleblowing may be employees, former employees, suppliers, associates and relatives/dependants of any such individuals.
Protection
Protection applies when concerns are disclosed in good faith, through proper channels, and with reasonable belief of malpractice or impropriety. However, those bypassing the procedure may face internal disciplinary actions. Malicious or reckless allegations could result in legal consequences for the accused.
Confidential
Marine Aluminium handles disclosures with confidentiality and sensitivity, protecting the identity of the individual unless it obstructs the investigation. Investigations may reveal the source, and the individual may need to provide a statement as evidence.
The company encourages named disclosures, as anonymous concerns are less credible but may be considered at its discretion. Factors include the issue’s seriousness, credibility, and likelihood of confirmation from identifiable sources.
